Production Background & Fun Facts: Proximity came from the simple concept "What if a man could stop people from dying just by being in close proximity to them?" Then we asked ourselves, "What if the man who keeps people from dying were to come into contact with someone who wanted to die?" As soon as we started toying with these interactions, the story wrote itself.
